Solo run this week – How to Make a Killing at Regal Sherman Oaks, Lido Pizza, and Yum Yum Donuts.
We saw Good Luck Have Fun Don’t Die at Regal Paseo in Pasadena, survived two pizza busts thanks to Taco Social in Eagle Rock, and wrapped it up with Valentine’s Day donuts at Colorado Donuts.
This week we watch Shelter starring Jason Statham, hit Weirdoughs for a garlic-knot showdown, and wrap it up with a new Burbank dessert find.
This run started in Brea with Kevin Smith live, then back to the theater for Send Help. Lunch was Anna Pizza, and we closed it out with donuts from Donut Hut. A mixed bag of comedy, a tense movie, solid pizza, and a dependable donut finish.”
We switched things up with a downtown LA run — catching Mercy at Regal LA Live, grabbing dinner at Trejo’s Cantina, and closing it out with donuts from Kettle Glaze. A near-future sci-fi movie, solid food, and a reliable donut stop to wrap the night.
From Bones to Bites. This run covered The Bone Temple, a stop at Ozzy’s Pizza, donuts at Randy’s, and the usual Fogata taco to close it out.
Slow-burn horror, creature work that actually felt real, and a run that turned into pizza, donuts, shawarma, and homemade cinnamon rolls.
Solo Anaconda matinee, rain-soaked drives, and a pizza-and-donut run to kick off 2026.
A two-movie DOTR weekend featuring Marty Supreme and Avatar: Fire and Ash in IMAX RealD 3D. Long runtimes, killer pacing, stolen 3D glasses, New York–style pizza, donuts, and a reminder of why building worlds—on screen or in games—still hits.
What started as a quiet solo weekend turned into a psychological thriller, a meditation on eternity, a donut ritual, and an unexpected encore with smash burgers and churro sundaes.
An angry dust bunny, an unexpectedly great movie, redemption pizza at Pitfire, and donuts (doughnuts?) that speak for themselves.
Late entry for a quieter weekend: Five Nights at Freddy's 2, a hyped-up but decent slice at Esco's, a cold cream donut at Flour that stole the show, and me recouping while diving into game design.
Thanksgiving on the run: Lovi’s in Calabasas, a Black Friday tour through Two Doughs Pizza and Dulcet Gourmet Donuts, a Now You See Me sequel, The Local Peasant for a birthday, and a pizza spot that pulled a disappearing act.
Today I took seven inches, didn't expect that nor did I expect I'd ever say, "Yeah, I'll have the penis donut." A dystopian game-show reboot in North Hollywood turned into a full late-stage-capitalism tour: cyberpunk Running Man, a vegan punk-rock McDonald’s clone, and Voodoo’s finest poor life choices all in one run.
Thought I had family issues, but Dek had it worse — outcast Yautja, flying across the galaxy to prove he belongs. I just drove around Los Angeles for Predator: Badlands, metal pizza, donuts, and tacos. Loud. Greasy. Therapeutic.
